I love the change from summer to autumn/ winter! The air is getting crisp and its time to reorganize my wardrobe to fit the new season.
The cold season is all about good basics and staple pieces, which is why the winter coat is an absolute essential every autumn/winter. Even if you have a day where you might not be completely convinced of your outfit, your coat will enhance any look, giving your outfit a stylish and sophisticated touch.
A good coat will leave you feeling confident!
And since a winter coat can be quite an investment for many, it is especially important that you choose a beautiful timeless design and good quality material (make sure your coat has a high percentage of wool or other natural yarn).
When I support my clients in a purchase of a winter coat, I pay particular attention to neutral shades, after all, the coat should match all your outfits.
Loud patterns and prints can quickly tire you out. Instead I would choose classic timeless fabrics and patterns, e.g. a houndstooth, a tartan, a twill or herringbone structure, or a tweed with colour effects in the yarn,…
And then finally, choose a coat that will fit your hight and body shape!! Even if the oversized coat style or maxi length is trending right now, it is not for everyone….luckily there are lots of styles to choose from, so there definitely will be something out there for you. 🙂
